Bridge ID Instructions

For External Use – Cox Auto Proprietary

 

All new solution users of the following CAI solutions: Autotrader Dealer Site, nVision, Dealer.com, HomeNet, vAuto, VinSolutions, and Xtime. Will be pushed through the Bridge Registration flow after logging in with their new solution credentials.

 

Bridge ID Registration

 

Scenario #1: Admin User not currently bridged (go to Scenario #2 if using Bridge ID in another CAI solution.

  1. User will sign into the CAI solution with their new username and password and see this window:

  1. Click on Register for Bridge ID.
    1. New User registration will not have the ability to defer and must register upon initial login.

 

  1. Enter desired username and password for Bridge ID in the New User Setup screen, accept TOU and Privacy Statement, then click button to Setup Bridge ID Account:

  1. Confirm Contact Information and account recovery information (for Multi-Factor Authentication). Verify email and/or mobile phone and enter the verification code(s) provided. Note that you must verify at least one of the options. If email address is selected it must be a unique email address to this account.

  1. User is only required to use one method but are advised to provide both if possible. The user’s email address can only be used for ONE Bridge ID account. The cell number can be used with multiple Bridge accounts.

  1. If user has more than one CAI solution, click on the Bridge Bar at the top left of the screen and attach the other solutions (not done automatically). Once attached, use single log-in to access all solutions/mobile apps.Graphical user interface, application

Scenario #2: How to Attach Remaining Solutions for an Existing Bridge ID User

 

  1. User will see this window when logged into a solution requiring Bridge ID. Click on Attach Now:

  1. In ‘My Settings’, User must attach all solutions currently accessed; this is not done automatically. Once attached, user will use that single log-in to access all solutions/mobile apps moving forward.

MFA

Once you have registered, you will automatically be enabled for MFA. This means that on the next login, you will be challenged and will need to select either the email address entered and verified in the Account Recovery section during registration or the Mobile Phone number entered and verified.

 

Once selected, you will need to provide the verification code that was sent to either your email address or mobile phone. Once verified, you will be directed to your selected solution.
