Modified on Thu, Oct 20, 2022 at 3:56 PM

Homepage Sliders (HS)

Placed in the website’s homepage slideshow. Primarily consists of generic, event, or OEM (Tier 1 or 2) creative. Offer-based creative is placed here only if the store has indicated they do NOT want the separate Retail Rotator widget.

Retail Rotator (RR)

Offer-based assets placed in a separate widget on the website homepage. Can consist of LADtech or manually built assets.

Leaderboard Tiles (LT)

Placed on the website’s dedicated specials page(s) - this could be New (LT-N) or Used (LT-U). May be split between multiple categories, like purchase & lease if store requests.

Banners (_B)

If the site has Model Specific Landing Pages (MSLPs) then the Model Banner (MB) is launched to the top of each Model Specific Landing Page (MSLP).

If the site does not have MSLPs,then the New Banners (NB) are launched to the top of the new vehicle search results page (SRP) as a carousel. Individual New Banners, by model, are launched to the top of each filtered search results page (SRP).

UB - Used Banners, without a vin-based offer, are launched to the top of  the used vehicle search results page (SRP).

OB - Other Banner used upon special request - linking to be determined

Linking Strategy

Retail Rotator - link to each respective Model Specific Landing Page (MSLP).  If there are multi-model offer assets, they should link to the appropriate Leaderboard Page (New, Used, etc.).

Homepage Sliders - If the store has indicated they do NOT want the separate Retail Rotator widget, offer-based assets should  link to each respective Model Specific Landing Page (MSLP). All other generic assets should link as indicated in the project details. If there are multi-model offer assets, they should link to the appropriate Leaderboard Page (New, Used, etc.).

Leaderboard Tiles - link to each respective Model Specific Landing Page (MSLP).

Model Banners - Default = no click through since the customer has found a low funnel destination.  Optional = click to a lead form.

Identifying MSLPs

  • Model Specific Landing Pages contain the following elements:
    • Model header (container for banners)
    • Inventory listings
    • Model Content and Photos for SEO
  • Research or Model Information Pages do not contain:

Inventory ListingsGlossary

Homepage Sliders (merge w page 2)

  • Homepage Slider (aka slides, rotators, MF)

  • An image intended to be posted in a website’s primary slideshow. (This is usually the website’s “hero”, but not always).

  • Unless the offer is clearly for a specific piece of inventory, we’ll link to the Model Landing Page. (Or a filtered listing page if no MLP is available).

  • Placing our creative in first position isn’t always possible due to OEM offers. Sometimes these can be disabled. They usually cannot be re-positioned.

Leaderboard Tiles (merge w page 2)

  • Images intended to be stacked on a dedicated leaderboard or “specials” page.

  • With no instruction, we’ll link and order these the same way as RR.

  • Generally grouped together by New/Purchase and Lease. Some sites have separate pages for these two categories, while other sites combine all on one page.

Fixed Ops Coupons

  • Service & Parts coupons are usually combined onto the same page, but sometimes each have their own page.

  • Some OEMs (like Ford) broadcast additional coupons to their sites automatically.

  • Coupons can be provided as an image, or IRC can use the website’s coupon builder.

  • Everyone should be using the same template for reference. Currently: ServiceCouponList_Gray_2018
